Camden's 10th Anniversary Piss Up
20 October 2006 - Report by Kirk Weyman
GINGE TOTALLY TRASHES CHIN EN ROUTE TO CURRY HOUSE
Starting Lineup: More importantly see below for list of those who actually made it to Jhoorna's curry house Subs: The K-19 Widowmaker and The K-141 Kursk
Before I mention the the clubs 10th anniversary drink/curry evening, we need to clarify, for those blissfully unaware, the reason for the boss’ (Mark Weyman) absence for the following game.
The reason for this, ladies and gentlemen, was not that little Ciaran was poorly, not that he had to work overtime in his team leader duties, not that he was on holiday in Uruguay, but, my learned friends, it was because he had to attend a BABY SHOW at Earls Court. Not to look at babies, but to look at random stuff to do with babies. Need I say more.
Ok, onto Friday nights DOO. (I know that this is some waffling to compete with The Itch Express but sometimes it just has to be this way.) The mood was buoyant and a pretty good turn out from the lads. Most drunk award for the night (although everyone else was a very close second) is going to new boy Ashley for some dazzling Magners drinking and excellent throwing up on the floor in the curry house. Good work.
Dave Lee, as always was ridiculously generous and was buying everyone shots all night. Everyone thank uncle Dave for our hangovers on Saturday.
After leaving Larrys, most of the troupe ventured to the Volunteer, pub of the year in 1923. This journey was brought to life by Ginge, ironically, playing ‘Knock Down Ginger’ on an ex Camden players house (Dave Maughan for those who know). On his run away from said abode he completely stacked it causing all manner of injuries to face and body. Laughter erupted from the crowd and didn’t stop even when he said it was hurting.
In the curry house I believe 2(TWO) communal Phaals were ordered and with Kaan believing they weren’t their usual potent self had 1 all to himself – as well as his own curry. His rear end must have been a bundle of joy the next day.
Other notable observations were Chris, Macca and Dave wearing very similar shirts, and the absences of Martin Layle (lady jiggying), Dorm (can’t remember, prob with Martin), American Dad (filming new series), Burge (man cold), Mike (proper flu), Gambling Kev (gambling), Salad (eating), Matt (fashion show), and Navy Neil (swimming). If I missed any absentees I apologise.
